How Do You Take Your Trench?
With the holidays upon us, you’re probably looking forward to wrapping up in a cashmere blanket and settling down for a long winter’s nap. Don’t get too comfy. The Spring collections will be arriving in stores a few weeks after New Year’s, and the season’s must-have coats will go fast. In 2010, you’re going to want a trench.… OK, we know what you’re thinking: Every season, it seems, publications like ours are proclaiming, “The trench is back.” But this time, we’re not talking about the classic version. The utilitarian topper has been tweaked: At Aquascutum, Michael Herz added feminine ruffles.Alexander Wang sliced the sleeves off. Nina Ricci’s Peter Copping went long, and the designers at Christian Dior,Comme des Garçons, andHermès chopped their versions at the waist.
CHANGE IS NICE>>>>>BUT CLASSIC IS FOREVER <3 <3
I'll go with classic ......What you choose ???

Kane Gang
Christopher Kane's gorilla-print dresses made the rounds this year. In addition to Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, art-world insider Shala Monroque and pop-world phenom Rihanna were among those who signed up for the "Who Wore It Best?" competition.

Dimension in Fashion
This year's party scene would've been a whole lot less interesting without the couture-loving, electric-blue-contact-lens-wearing, chameleon-coiffed Daphne Guinness. We're looking forward to seeing how she tops this out-of-this-world Alexander McQueen look in 2010.

"People assume that we used to be really weird and that we toned it down and started writing pop songs in order to sell out," says Goldwasser. "When really, the songs that got so big were some of the first songs that we wrote. There wasn't anything contrived about it."

Mamma M.I.A.
Not one to play it safe sartorially or otherwise (the Brit hit-maker was nine months pregnant when she performed atthe Grammys), M.I.A. took to the stage that night in a semi-sheer black polka-dotted getup by Henry Holland. A few hours earlier, she posed on the red carpet in this equally bold number from New Delhi-based designer Manish Arora.
